Say goodbye to the post-holiday blues!

In what seems like the blink of an eye, the holiday season has come and gone yet again. As we quickly approach the New Year, our focus begins to switch from holiday shopping and festive meals to making those resolutions for 2016. Traditionally, this includes a resolution about better health habits. The physical benefits of regular exercise are well known and include: reduced risk of chronic disease (ex: cardiovascular disease, Type II diabetes and cancer), improved bone health, better muscle strength and joint mobility. Regular physical activity also has related psychological benefits including a reduction in stress, depression and anxiety.
